If you are a white wine drinker, stick to sauvi­gnon blanc, chardon­nay and ries­ling, all around 85 calo­ries per glass. If red is more your style, opt for mer­lot or pinot noir, or even rosé, at about 88 calo­ries. Avoid sweet wines like marsala or sherry, which have around 164 calo­ries. But when com­pared to other al­co­holic bev­er­ages, wine is ac­tu­ally a step above the rest.
