I know I know, I do like to bang on about House of Cards, and here I go again given the next incredible season – the fifth – is finally here! The rise of the Underwoods to the White House has been addictively gripping enough without the newly elected Trump administration to add a whole new layer to proceedings. With Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright returning to their respective roles of President Frank Underwood and First Lady Claire, this new season will pick up from the stunning finale of the last, the Underwoods having declared war on terror, their motives, as ever, self-serving. The writing and the performances in this show simply never falter, each new season reminding me why binge-watching was invented! Play catch up, and don’t miss it.
