I have really big calves and I want to invest in styles and outfits that draw attention away from this part of my legs, or make them appear smaller than they are. Do you have any suggestions?

Big calves should not deter you from investing in different styles and outfits. You simply need to know a few rules when shopping for clothes. Stick to monochrome and darker colours on your bottom half and add colour, texture, bling, volume or a print to the top half of your body, to attract the eye upwards. Make sure hemlines reach the narrowest part of your leg – either just below your knee or at your ankle, not mid-calf. Opt for bootleg or straight-cut pants/ jeans, avoiding a narrow leg. With shoes, steer clear of superfine heels and stick to heavier styles like a wedge or a thicker heel.
