Kombucha is a tea, fermented using a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) to make it into a fizzy, tangy drink available in a variety of flavours. The probiotic (and sugar!) content of kombucha will vary between brands. A raw kombucha is likely to have more live cultures, however it is not safe to drink for pregnant or immune-compromise­d people.
