There is the odd show that you REALLY need talking into… In my case a good friend set up camp in my lounge, forcing me to watch The Good Place because she loved it so much. The first episode did nothing for me but by the end of the second, I was in. And with short, sweet run-times, it is very easy to binge a handful at a time! A simple enough premise, Kristen Bell’s character Eleanor finds herself opposite Ted Danson’s Michael in what appears to be the afterlife. It’s oddly suburban, very, very nice, and not at all what Eleanor thinks she deserves. As each chapter unfolds, this idea of not fitting in gets explored more and more hilariously. Give it try, and push through that first episode.
