About the author

Born in Gladstone, Queensland, Holly Ringland’s childhood took her all over the place. When she was four the family moved to the Gold Coast, then five years later to North America, where she lived in a campervan with her parents and younger brother. “We drove from national park to national park from the west coast inland. My mum home-schooled me,” says Holly. “Global travel blew my nine-year-old mind wide open.” As an adult, Holly worked for four years with indigenous communities in Australia’s Red Centre. This debut novel has sold into 18 territories globally.
