Peach perfect
With the change in season, warmer tones in your make-up can flatter any depth you’ve picked up in your complexion. If you find bronzer intimidating, peach blush can be a good alternative. It also looks more “grown up” on cheeks than pink. A sheer lip colour with a bit of shine can also balance not only a smoky eye, but also a dramatic outfit or statement jewellery.
A foundation that’s designed to provide natural luminosity without shine is a good option if you’re not a fan of shimmer. For an extra-flawless finish, try a sheer, translucent loose powder, rather than one that will add more colour.
Add blush by using a large, fluffy blush brush, sweeping the colour upwards (sweeping downwards can inadvertently drag your features down) from cheekbones towards the hairline.
For an easy smoky eye, add a tiny amount of a dark cream eyeshadow to your finger and smudge over eyelids, concentrating on the outer edges. You can add depth by going over the top with a powder shadow (in a co-ordinating or slightly deeper shade) applied with a brush, but it’s not essential. Add a few coats of volumising mascara to finish.
Apply lip gloss from a wand, and make sure you carry it with you for touch-ups, as it disappears faster than other lip products.
TIP: To make eyes pop, dab a touch of shimmer to the inner corners with your ring finger.
