The World Health Organisati­on is advising people that eating too much processed meat can cause cancer, which may be due to the chemicals formed when meats such as bacon, ham and sausages are made. A report revealed that consuming less than two slices of bacon daily increased the chance of getting colorectal cancer by 18 per cent. But it also stressed that an occasional bacon butty won’t hurt.
