Holiday sparkle

From lush rainforest to golden beaches, with numerous attractions in between, Australia’s Gold Coast is an ideal holiday spot and the new Ruby Collection provides the perfect place to stay.

There are few places in Australia that offer such diverse experiences as the Gold Coast does. Sunny, golden sand beaches one day; ancient, World Heritage-listed rainforests the next… With 57km of coastline and more than 20 different beaches, you could happily spend all day with your feet in the sand, but that would mean missing out on everything else this little paradise has to offer. And the great thing is, the Gold Coast is as perfect for families as it is for couples wanting a romantic getaway.

The Ruby Collection, a beautiful new accommodation complex just opened in Surfer’s Paradise, with its sweeping views of the beaches as well as the hinterland (where you’ll nd the incredible Springbrook National Park), is the perfect base for whatever kind of holiday you’re after. Offering apartment-style accommodation and ve-star resort service and amenities, it caters for both young and old.

Kids will especially love the giant, popular Z4K Water Park next door. With free access through a gate between the two properties, the three-storeys-high Water Park has myriad slides, water cannons and climbing frames – as well as a giant bucket that lls with 600 litres of water before emptying every few minutes in a gigantic splash.

For couples wanting a romantic retreat, there is a luxury pool, plus a gym, sauna and steam room. There is plenty of entertainment throughout the day and evening as well – from cocktail-making classes and wine and cheese tasting to live music and cooking demonstrations.

If being on holiday, though, means taking a break from cooking, there are plenty of great options – with a café and restaurant onsite you’re fully catered for. There is also a shop stocking local and international produce.

So whether you want to head out and enjoy activities and attractions around Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast or just stay put and enjoy cocktails by the pool, Ruby is the place to be.
