Sunday, February 5: Whitianga Summer Concert 2023. The Angels, Stone Temple Pilots, Pat Benetar and Neil Giraldo, and ZZ Top. At the Whitianga Waterways Arena from 11am.

Sunday, February 5: Frocks on Bikes at the Waihi Beach RSA from 10am. Fun family event with spot prizes, gold coin entry.guys must wear a dress.

Sunday February 5: Car boot sale, 7.30am for sellers and 8am for buyers at college car park Windsor Rd to raise funds for Otumoetai Rotary. Sellers $10 a space. Details Brian text 021 1228735 or Bevan 027 4612127.

Monday, February 6: Tauranga Moana Waitangi Day Festival 2023. A day of ceremony and celebratio­n at The Historic Village. Organised by He Iwi Kotahi Tauranga Moana Charitable Trust in conjunctio­n with other organisati­ons, the celebratio­n will acknowledg­e our shared identity. From 10am.

February 8 to 12: Under 21 World Golf Croquet Championsh­ips at Tauranga Croquet Club The Domain Tauranga and Mount Maunganui Croquet Club Kawaka St, Mount Maunganui starting at 8.30am each day. Spectators welcome. Free entry.

Saturday February 11: Katikati Twilight Concerts 2023. Haiku Reserve, Katikati. This week Cool Jazz ft Blue Light Trio, Catriona Fallon and her band. Saturday February 11: NRL Indigenous All Stars v Ma¯ ori All Stars. Rotorua will create history by hosting the NRL’S Indigenous All Stars v Ma¯ ori All Stars games in 2023, the first time the games have been held in New Zealand. It will be held at the Rotorua Internatio­nal Stadium.

Sunday, February 12: Matapihi hikoi with Maraea Timutimu. Join Maraea on a guided walk from her exhibition at Tauranga Art Gallery to Matapihi, followed by kai and music. Reservatio­ns through the Tauranga Art Gallery website.
