Mamma Mia!

It’s always nice when you can park your classic car and classic boat side by side... This Riva Aquaramat Lamborghini was originally registered and delivered to Ferruccio Lamborghini. He’s the handsome uomo pictured left and founder of the Italian sports car brand. He took possession of the boat on 7 June 1968. It was the only Riva fitted with twin 350hp 4.0-litre V12 Lamborghini engines and had a top speed of around 48 knots.

Lamborghini owned the boat for more than 20 years and sold it to his friend Angelo Merli in July 1988. After Merli died in 1993, the boat disappeared until a Riva collector from the Netherlands tracked it down and had it restored – including 25 layers of varnish. www.rivalamborghini.com
