At January’s Düsseldorf Boatshow, Bavaria released seven new models.

The C Series of yachts, designed by renowned Italian designer Maurizio Cossutti, welcomed the C45, C50 and C65, joining the previously-released C57.

These highly spec’d models represent excellent value and outstanding comfort with features such as a dinghy garage, self-tacking jib, cockpit wet bar (BBQ grill and fridge), huge tankage and generous modern L-shaped galleys that are well-suited to the modern New Zealand sailor.

Bavaria Yacht’s popular motorboat range received two new additions – the R55 and E34 Fly. The R55 will be the largest powerboat the company has ever produced – no expense has been spared in creating a luxurious and elegant vessel.

With three large double cabins (the owners’ cabin even has its own walk-in wardrobe), each with its own ensuite, everyone has their own space, but can socialise in the brilliant galley/saloon area or lounge in the cockpit or forward sunbathing zone.

The E34 Fly joins the E-range of displacement shaft-drive powerboats. A sister to the E34 sedan, it brings economical cruising, is a great social boat and its unique helm position, which keeps you connected with the rest of your crew, makes steering a pleasure. Like the bigger E40 model, the E34 is well-appointed, has a huge amount of storage space. Its large

The other two new models making debuts at Dusseldorf were in the Bavaria Nautitech Catamaran range – the Nautitech 47 Powercat and the next generation Open 40 sailing cat.

The 47 Power is a new market segment for Nautitech. It was a natural move since Nautitech was acquired by Bavaria in 2014. Powercats is an area of growth in the worldwide boating market and one that Bavaria has targeted for the coming years.

The redesigned Open 40 sailing cat features a new, modern saloon/gallery layout that’s sure to impress: bigger windows for more light in the cabins and saloon, skylight window in roof for viewing the mainsail from the helm, more hatches and a refresh of the heads.

These models are sure to complement and enhance the popular Bavaria brand, of which there are over 130 examples in New Zealand.
