Burglaries, stolen vehicles reported in Tararua area

■ Norsewood/Dannevirke/ Pongaroa:

Between April 11 and 14 a white Mazda Bongo van registrati­on BFD392 was stolen from a rural address on route 52 Weber. The van was parked behind a building on a residentia­l property.

On April 13 a Dannevirke community member misplaced their wallet at New World Dannevirke. Their wallet was subsequent­ly found by an offender who used the pay wave debit card for a number of transactio­ns across the Manawatu area. Police are reviewing CCTV to identify the offender.

Overnight Sunday April 15 a tradesman’s vehicle was broken into on Guy Street Dannevirke and plumbing equipment stolen. The tools were specific for plumbing work, including pipe benders and other similar tools. They were all marked with blue paint and will be of very little use to anyone unless used in the plumbing trade.

Between April 15 and 17 a pub on High Street Dannevirke was broken into and building gear stolen. Please have identified the offender and they will be charged with burglary.

There were two reported domestic violence incidents in Dannevirke during the previous week and in one case a police safety order was issued.

■ Eketahuna/Pahiatua/ Woodville:

On Wednesday 11 April Palmerston North police executed a search warrant in Woodville locating drugs, cash, vehicles and firearms. Occupants of the address are being spoken to about the items.

At about 6pm on April 11 Pahiatua police attended a disorder incident on Vogel Street Woodville where it was reported a male had a firearm. When police arrived everyone had left. Police are working through CCTV footage and witness accounts to identify those involved.

On Friday April 13 an address on Range Road Woodville was burgled and a large amount of small items taken. Police are investigat­ing links to previous burglaries at the same address.

On April 13 Pahiatua police executed a search warrant for stolen property. Items were recovered and the occupants are being dealt with by police.

Between April 16 and 17 an address on State Highway 2 Mangataino­ka was burgled. A 50-inch television was stolen.

Pahiatua police located vehicle XA1265 in last week’s report, stolen from a Mangataino­ka address on April 11. The vehicle has been returned to its owner.

On April 14 a Pahiatua resident stole petrol from a service station in Eketahuna. The offender was later located and arrested in the Wellington region that same day.

Pahiatua police attended three domestic violence incidents throughout the week.

There have been three breaches of court bail in Pahiatua last week. One person was arrested and is in custody for breaching prison release conditions.
