Your new passport to healthy living in Woodville

-

Winter, with its changeable and colder weather, is typically that time of year when we all become very aware of our state of health. Concern is often also experienced for members of family and friends around us.

Health services and health products aimed at helping us live life to the full are always subject to change and rearrangement; new products come to market so fast it can make your head spin. And for some, all this change can be a cause of confusion, and concern.

Tararua and Districts Lions Club wants to help our community get a dose of good medicine on the wide range of health and well-being services and products available and at work in our region, all tasked with being there to help you enjoy the highest quality life experience possible. And do so with care, compassion, and a smile.

Their Woodville Passport to a Healthy Lifestyle is a one-day Health Expo event bringing together the widest range of local health-related service providers and products for the public to see, experience and learn from. It promises to be the biggest-ever health event staged in Woodville’s spacious Sports Stadium.

Visitors will be able to talk with exhibitors and get current, and relevant information, advice and make connections with service providers, or product information and advice, from people whose prime focus is on our community’s well-being.

Representative exhibitors already included in Tararua and Districts Lions’ expo include Pahiatua Community Health Trust, Safer Senior Citizens (Tararua), Breast Screening, Cervical Screening, Sleep Health Foundation NZ, Public Health, Oral Health, and more besides. A significant amount of floor space is available for any health or personal well-being organisation who would like to see their products and/or services on show. There is no charge to exhibit, but a gold coin entry will be operating.

There will be spot prizes for visitors, and a refreshment bar will be serving coffee, tea, sugar-free beverages and snacks.

All this good medicine will be on show for you at the Woodville Sports Stadium, 64 Ross Street (opposite Fountaine Square) in Woodville, on Saturday May 26, starting at 10am.

Please call Sharon Jones (president Tararua and Districts Lions Club) on 027 421 8649 or 376-5536 for more information, or to register interest.
