From January 1 Browning’s Computers has been under new ownership and management — Team Browning’s — comprising owner Ankit Bansal for general queries and sales, Ritu Rani for sales and office/technician and Chris Ouano as technical expert.
Some changes have occurred, but computer sales and service are still the core of the business, with the emphasis on services.
Repair work of computers is the busiest, with virus removal and helping people to upgrade to Windows 10. Browning’s can provide a range of computers and printers at competitive prices backed by their renowned service.
Chris strongly advises customers to back up their data onto USB devices, external drives or the Cloud, especially if the computers are older. Once gone those pictures — your treasure — are lost. Browning’s has all the storage equipment available.
Browning’s has been busy selling security systems. The Jaycar catalogue has an excellent range of wired or wireless security systems which can be operated from your smartphone.
For Internet security Chris advises never to click on a link from a suspicious email from someone you don’t recognise. Do not provide personal details. If in doubt ring Browning’s.
Browning’s provide free Norton Internet Security with the purchase of any new computer or laptop.
Browning’s now has a much bigger range of accessories for MacBook and other Apple accessories available including Type-C cables, adaptors, connectors etc.
There is no need to go to Palmerston North to get essential cables — if the shop the next day if ordered before 1pm.
Among the range are children’s educational kits.
Smartphone repairs have been added as a service to the business.
It can repair iPhones, iPods, Samsung smartphones, LCD and Glass Screens and replace batteries. Telephone handsets are also in stock.
