Cycle: Nic Brockleban­k with Muscular Dystrophy is going to ride as many laps as he can in an hour at the Cambridge Velodrome to raise money for the New Zealand Muscular Dystrophy Associatio­n. It will be from 6am. Cambridge group is meeting at the Waipa District Council meeting room on Wilson St at 12.30pm. Bring a plate of finger food to share. Cost is $2. The speaker will be Roger Gordon from Cambridge i-Site who will talk about the organisati­on and the changing world of the informatio­n centre. Finals: The FMG Young Farmer Waikato - Bay of Plenty Regional Final is on at Castleton Park, 1346 Park Rd, Hamilton from 8am - 5pm. Market: The Pirongia Market is on at the Pirongia Memorial Hall. Franklin St from 9am - 2pm. Carnival: The Medieval Carnival 2017 is on at Waikato Waldorf School, 85 Barrington Ave, Hamilton from 10am - 3pm. The carnival has just about everything imaginable to interest children and adults from live jousting, living history encampment­s, and crafts, entertainm­ent, and food. Unique children’s activities include crystal panning, candle-making, wooden horse jousting. Enjoy live entertainm­ent, wholesome homebaked goodies and beautiful handcrafts for sale. The most unique school fundraiser in the Waikato is back for its 21st consecutiv­e year.
