Market back in town
Foodies that enjoy spontaneous outings, creating memories and enjoying tantalising artisan food will be pleased to hear Alfresco Bites is back in Cambridge.
The artisan food truck market will be joining free events in April.
It was the first of it’s kind to the Waikato in 2015 and unique to Cambridge.
It originally ran at the Leamington Domain on Friday nights.
‘‘No longer do you have to settle for boring spag bol sauce from a can,’’ said organiser Taz Lyford.
‘‘We normally have between 6-10 vendors, and this time are featuring 18-20 vendors.’’
On Friday, April 28, from 4-9pm Alfresco Bites will be joining the festivities of the World Masters Waipa Friday Finale event on Lake Street, which will be closed for vendors to park on.
There will be dumplings, arigato ramen noodles, Mexican, vegan raw bowls, poutine and much more.
‘‘We recommend bringing along cash as we have vendors that do not have eftpos facilities,’’ she said.
Ranges of meals cost between $10-18 but there are ATMs handy to the venue.
‘‘It will have a very street appeal alfresco dining atmosphere,’’ said Lyford.
‘‘Thank you to the individual event organisers for allowing us the opportunity to be involved.’’
