Kia ora,

I’m Nicola Brennan-Tupara, chief news director of the Waikato Communities.

I’m filling in for Lawrence while he’s taking a much deserved break.

It’s been a pleasure putting together the Cambridge Edition this week.

There’s some really wonderful things happening like new art galleries being opened and the work the Athlete Friendly Network are doing.

It’s great that they have a focus on athletes’ life outside of, and after, sport.

Here’s hoping it gets some good results.

In other news, it’s great to see that the council has heeded concerns over water meters and how they were going to impact those on cross-leases.

We were inundated with calls and emails from concerned residents, so I’m glad the council has listened and decided to go back to the drawing board and find a workable solution.
