Chinese traditions explained

-

The culture and traditions of ancient China will be presented in a free lecture next week.

Sik-Wai Tsoi from The Falun Dafa Association will explain the development of Chinese culture over the last 5000 years, such as the evolution from martial arts to dance.

Mr Tsoi says since ancient times China has been known as ‘‘The Land of the Divine’’, referring to a place where the divine and mortals once coexisted.

He says these days that sense of history is somewhat lost.

The lecture precedes a dance and music performance portraying the ‘‘divinely inspired culture’’, which will be held in February by the association.

The presentation on Chinese Civilisation of 5000 years will take place on January 18 from 6.30pm at St Albans Church, 443 Dominion Rd, Balmoral.

For reservations and inquiries contact Mr Tsoi at swtsoi@gmail.com or phone 021 166 4602.
