-

Start your career in fashion with a certificate or diploma qualification at the NZ Academy of Fashion.

NZ Academy of Fashion’s International Diploma is a practical course which gives you the opportunity to further your studies, work in the industry or start your own business.

‘Where fashion careers begin’ is NZ Academy of Fashion’s vision and its courses give students the practical skills they need to succeed in any level of the fashion industry.

The aim is to facilitate the student’s learning in a creative environment that permits them to gain a high level of skills. The recruitment industry knows NZ Academy of Fashion’s track record in doing this.

The Academy offers small classes – a one tutor to 12 students ratio ensures an pass rate.

Subjects covered are: Patternmaking; garment construction; fashion drawing using Adobe Illustrator; design; draping and history of fashion.

Because of its proven approach to learning the

excellent Academy is certain that a student, who attends all classes, completes all homework, participates in class activities and its fashion show will be ready to graduate at the end of the diploma course.

As a prerequisite to the Diploma the Acad- emy has an 18 week Certificate which can be taken separately.

The Academy has relocated to William Pickering Drive and has the facilities to support a number of courses and workshops.

Offered as stand-alone classes or workshops are: Patternmaking, draping, advanced garment construction and the Acad- emy also offers distance courses.

If you want to learn to sew, or extend your sewing skills at the Academy as an adult or after school, they can help with that as well.
