Matakana wedding expo ‘not to be missed’
Everything to do with weddings features in the inaugural Weddings Matakana Expo on Sunday.
The Matakana Coast is growing in popularity as a wedding location with its beaches, vineyards and settings.
All the area has to offer prospective partners will be showcased at the Matakana Country Park from 10am to 4pm.
Record reservations are being received at many of the area’s venues, involving more than 250 businesses, organiser Sue Truscott says.
Many of these businesses will be represented at the exhibition, or in the Weddings Matakana Directory in print or on weddings matakana.co.nz.
‘‘We have received an overwhelming response from the various products and services to our local wedding industry,’’ Ms Truscott says.
She says exhibitor space is almost sold out.
The expo will be an interactive expose of all the region has to offer, from wine tasting to canape sampling, to hair and makeup demonstrations and with models parading the latest bridal wear, day and afterfive wear to music, Ms Truscott says.
Included are reception venues, accommodation, churches, celebrants, caterers, photographers, hair, makeup, jewellery, florists, invitations, hire and rental, transport, wedding planning and design, and hen and stag events.
‘‘If you are getting married, planning a wedding or thinking about having a party, then this is an event not to be missed.’’
