Get sorted with Cash & Cheques

-

Do you need some extra cash this week? Bills, back to school expenses, car breakdowns, and overseas family obligations – life can sometimes be unexpected.

For the staff at Cash & Cheques these costs are familiar territory. The friendly team will process loans, cash cheques and transfer money to and from overseas at both its Manukau and Onehunga stores.

Small loans: These loans are up to $200 and are for people who need cash in a hurry. To apply, bring in your last three months of bank statements and three forms of ID, including recent proof of address.

‘‘There are no hidden fees for a missed payment on your loan,’’ manager Lorraine says. ‘‘The total amount of your repayment that you see when you get your loan is the total you will ever pay back to us. Nothing more is added.’’

Cashing a cheque: Do you have a tax refund cheque you want to cash straight away. Most types of company cheques can be cashed provided they are from a registered business like Ministry of Justice, tax refunds and power companies.

To cash a cheque you need photo ID and proof of your current residential address, separate from the cheque.

A passport or driver’s licence, as well as a phone or power bill are acceptable. Lorraine says there are no exceptions to this, no identification, no cash.
