Heart of Remuera Gardens

-

Residents of Remuera Gardens love living where they do. Take a tour of this fabulous retirement village in Remuera and you’ll quickly see why!

Set amid two hectares of lush English-style gardens, Remuera Gardens provides a warm and welcoming environment for all who call it home and at its heart you’ll find Beattie Lodge.

Here residents are able to gather together to socialise and enjoy a whole host of fun activities and events including tai chi, book club, bridge, music appreciation, mah-jong, weekly movies, regular concerts and much much more.

Currently the residents of Remuera Village are eagerly awaiting the return of talented pianist Lucy Zeng, who first played for them at Beattie Lodge in 2010 and is back for a concert this Sunday at 2pm.

Other popular events include happy hour every Friday afternoon in the newly refurbished bar and monthly birthday celebrations complete with sherry and fruit cake.

Residents who like getting out and about are also well catered for with three bus trips a week around Auckland and beyond.

Yet another great benefit to life at Remuera Gardens is the strong community atmosphere and a sense of camaraderie that is tangible in this boutique village.

Their management team and friendly hostesses like to know everyone by name, and the small and personal community will ensure you feel welcome and safe.

Residents have the choice of either independent or serviced one or two-bedroom apartments and if in the future you need a higher level of care there’s Kensington House nearby, which offers a full resthome service.

If you want to see all that Remuera Gardens has to offer, then head along to its open day this Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. You’ll be able to enjoy refreshments, as well as a tour of the village and its facilities.
