Acts wanted for Diwali
Applications for performers wanting to take part in the Auckland Diwali Festival close on August 14.
The October 17 and 18 event celebrates traditional and contemporary Indian culture and is the largest vegetarian extravaganza in the country. It is organised by Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development and Asia NZ Foundation and will take place in Aotea Square and Queen St.
Stall sites are available for vegetarian food, sweets, craft, and henna vendors, or to promote community organisations and businesses.
The deadline for stalls is June 29.
