A woman suffered moderate injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Mt Eden on June 4. Police northern communications shift commander Andy Brill says the woman was hit on Mt Eden Rd shortly before 1pm. The woman was treated by ambulance staff but her injuries were not life-threatening. It was one in a string of incidents where pedestrians have been hit by vehicles in Auckland. A 30-year-old woman suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a bus in central Auckland on June 3 and a man died on June 2 after being hit by a truck on Fanshawe St in the city.
