Free desexing

Get in quick if you want your cat desexed. SPCA Auckland is offering free spay and neuter operations for cats and kittens from Mt Roskill and Onehunga. The charity receives hundreds of unwanted cats and kittens from those suburbs each year and is aiming to cut the numbers down. Kittens can be desexed as young as 12 weeks old but need to weigh at least 1kg. The free clinics will run from June 15 to July 10. Proof of address is required and pet owners are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment. Call 256 7310 to secure a place.
