Storylines Auckland Family Day
The Storylines Auckland Family Day on Sunday August 21 at the Aotea Centre coincides with the final day of the IBBY World Congress and is one of the biggest children’s books festive days anywhere!
Entry is free for a day of ‘‘out of this world activities’’ when children can:

Hear Richard Taylor and Martin Baynton
and
Enter a world of characters with artists and illustrators, including Sandra Morris, Fraser Williamson and Donovan Bixley
Make masks with Michel Mulipola, the of ‘Bloody Samoan’
Create stories with magnets with Des Hunt
Make a Grow Me Well puppet with Dee Pigneguy
Go the distance to make their own Golden Kiwi medal with David Riley
Fly away with an origami butterfly made with Melinda Szymanik
Get carried away by Gareth Ward’s magical stories
Then come back to earth for Joy Cowley’s 80th birthday party.
Plus storytellers, book characters, face painters, Painted Stories Exhibition, PERFORM! and a universe full of fun!
