McLennan – where town meets country

-

A new community is taking shape on land that was once part of the Papakura Army Camp and it is offering first home buyers a chance to get on the property ladder.

McLennan is a new communityfocused development being built between the open spaces and recreational parks of Papakura and Takanini.

Meeting the demand for quality, affordable housing in Auckland’s thriving south east, McLennan will eventually feature more than 550 architecturally-designed homes, expertly master planned to create a thriving neighbourhood.

McLennan features a range of homes that have been designed to attract a mix of families to the community. Sizes range from two to five bedroom homes, available in duplex, stand-alone, single or double storey designs.

Variations in size, design, type, materials and colour will not only cater for a wide mix of family sizes and budgets, but create an architecturally appealing environment.

Combining sustainable, energyefficient design with a focus on neighbourhood interaction, McLennan is not just where Papakura meets Takanini – it’s where town meets country and where life meets leisure.

Stage 1D at McLennan is being sold now and comprises:

15 x four-bedroom terraced townhouses

2 x five-bedroom homes

These are all turn-key constructions where buyers pay a 10 per cent deposit up front and then nothing more until the home is completed and title and Council Code Compliance is issued.

The four-bedroom terraced townhouses are priced from $695,000 and the five-bedroom design from $865,000.

All homes come complete and include F&P appliances and a heat pump. They each have either north or north-west facing outdoor spaces to make the most of natural light and heat. They all share the same attention to detail and quality, and are double-glazed and insulated to ensure maximum energy efficiency.

McLennan homes will be located around landscaped laneways and small ‘pocket’ parks which will not only provide access to green space and safe play areas for children, but also enhance the walkways that connect the wider neighbourhood.

McLennan features a range of homes that have been designed to attract a mix of families to the community. Barfoot & Thompson agent Kevin Coppins says 60 houses have already been sold in Stage One, mainly to owner occupiers, with the average age group buying them being 25 to 35 years.

To create more opportunities for first home buyers, Stage 1D includes four Homestart homes, available to purchasers who qualify under the Government’s HomeStart grant.

With a wide range of sizes, floor plans and designs, there is sure to be a home at McLennan that suits you and your family.
