Police said overseas scammers are using false email addresses, with domains similar to well-known universities, to target the companies. The scammers send forged university invoices to businesses, requesting various electronic equipment such as hard drives, camera equipment, computers and phones. Once the goods are shipped, recovering them becomes impossible, police said.
