AUCKLAND MUSEUM EXHIBITION WINS

Auckland Museum’s free exhibition Making Music in Aotearoa has been named a winner for its innovative blend of culture and technology at the international 2017 GLAMi Awards. The awards celebrate the best innovations in the cultural sector worldwide. Closing on Sunday May 21 the popular exhibition saw about 200,000 visitors enjoy 200 objects, including costumes, instruments, handwritten lyrics and images loaned by New Zealand musicians. The interactive spaces include a recording studio, a DJ booth, an authentic 1980s record store and a replica 1970s pub venue.
