Constructed in 1912 it is the earliest purpose-built cinema still in operation in the Southern Hemisphere. The Vic is very much a staple of Devonport and the lounge bar is a great spot even if you decide to forego the movies and tear open a book on the couch or enjoy a wine with friends. their heads when they launched in 2015 but two years on they seem to have made the model work.
