DONATE YOUR TOOTHBRUSH
Colgate and TerraCycle are calling primary school pupils to donate toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes and caps and floss containers for the Colgate Bright Smiles Bright Futures (BSBF) recycling competition. TerraCycle and Colgate-Palmolive are aiming to educate children on oral health and ways to reduce landfill waste. Recycled oral care waste will be made into products like a park bench that will be awarded to the winning school. ColgatePalmolive Australia and New Zealand marketing director Yvonne Hsu said the BSBF programme would encourage the community to ensure their oral care waste did not end up in landfill. People can donate oral care waste through New Zealand Post for free. Participating schools also have the chance to be awarded a $1000 cash prize. The competition ends on November 1.
