Delivering real results
Tracey Price never looks at the clock when she's with a client - her total focus is on the person in front of her.
"When I hit my 40s I decided
I wanted to specialise in result-driven treatments. People want results these days and that's what we offer at HB Laser Skin Clinics," Tracey says.
Tracey owns and operates three clinics in the Bay - one each in Havelock North, Napier and Waipawa - offering a range of services specialising in laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, tattoo removal and appearance medicine.
"We offer the most advanced nonsurgical appearance treatments. Located conveniently throughout Hawke's Bay and we are committed to delivering real results at affordable prices.
" I've been in the industry for
25 years and in business now for 31/2 years. We are the first business in the Bay to be offering SPL laser hair removal for light hair.
"We are also so lucky and privileged to have the only fully accredited cosmetic doctor in the Bay, Dr Dani Waxman, in our team.
"She offers not only botox and fillers but also specialises in mole removal and PRP treatments, which help with hair loss and incontinence, and breast and neck lifts, just to name a few. Dani has recently attended the 2018 NZ Society of cosmetic medicine conference, getting the latest updates."
Tracey has used many different lasers in her time in the beauty industry but has now advanced to SPL hair removal technology. The new goldstandard machine has been developed by doctors and scientists. It's European-designed and manufactured, unlike most other machines.
"Square pulse light is safer, less painful and more successful than any other machine on the market. Another great progression is hair removal for dark complexions as well as red, white and blonde hair which was not previously available on the market," Tracey said.
"When I first started in the industry electrolysis was the latest advancement so it's been great to keep up and see the changes over the years. We're really excited with the services we offer. There are no other businesses that are able to cater to such a broad range of clientele in our area.
"Outside of Auckland laser safety is not monitored, so it's not regulated which means anybody could pick up a laser and start using it, which is scary!
"We're hoping this will all change but in the meantime we've taken it upon ourselves to voluntarily abide by the only current NZ guidelines governing our industry."
As well as continuing to run her business, Tracey is about to start studying part-time in a course which will allow her to teach adults about laser.
"I'm really excited about this and it will also give me a chance to share my experience in the industry.
"Tattoo removal which is offered is
steadily growing and we have big plans
for its continued growth."
