President’s welcome — come along to the A&P event
The Central Hawke’s Bay A&P Association’s annual showis nearly upon us and it is my privilege to welcome you all to the 2020 event.
It’s a time whe ntown and country combine and is recognition of the independence of the two sectors.
The show runs from November12 to 14. Thursday kicks off with the TuxYarding Challenge dog trials event and rhe dressage competitions.
The dog trials continue on Friday and equestrian events begin.
Saturday 14 is the day for the public to attend the “best little A&P show in town”. There will be lots happening at the show including the ever popular shearing and wool handling competitions, trade exhibits, dog trials final run-off sheep competition including pet kid goats, pet lambs and pet calves, equestrian events, photography competition, baking and homecraft competitions, rose competition, vintage machinery display, terrier racing, highland dance competition, Clydesdale horses, giant bubbles, local resident artist painting during the day, the Radical Dog Vet Services Dog Show, live music and entertainment for everyone along with great selection of different food and drinks.
Showday finishes with the ever popular bull-riding event which always draws a large crowd with a guarantee of thrills and spills.
Iwould like to thank the many sponsors as without them the show would not be able to go ahead. Also thank you to the many volunteers.
We look forward to seeing everyone at this year’s show.
