Buzz cut raises funds for school bus

Keen supporter ofOmakere School, Alice Bellamy, wanted tomakeadonation towards theOmakere school bus, sowhenshe decided to get her hair cut shorter, she thought she might as well raisesomemoney at thesametime.

Alice recruited sponsors and on November6 she went to the school and with cheers of support she had her long hair cut off.

Alice raisedmore than $450, with moredonations still coming in and she says “Ahuge thank you to everyonewhosponsoredmeto shavemyhair recently to raise moneyfor

the school bus and thankOmakere School for making it a special event.

It’s fantastic to be able to give back to the school and community.”
