and symmetry, so I enjoyed one of those moments at Nick Gethin’s lunch.

We had finished the filming and were just sitting around the garden table chatting, when I spotted a link to a quite famous sports car, the first Brabham BT8, Chassis 64-1. It had been first owned by Mike Knight’s father and Mike was now seated on my immediate right.

The car was then sold to Robs Lamplough, who was now seated on my immediate left. Robs raced it in California, and then sold it to my late wife, Judy.

It was later crashed and not restored for many years, but three families owned the car for the first forty years of its life, and here we were (some of us) all sitting next to each other on a sunny day in England. How big is this world?
