JUST GOT MINE out of the mailbox, and very appropriate it is too, as I have done a 4-hour round trip to Piopio Berry Orchard to buy the best strawberries in the world!! So, might even try making the tart on the cover. Susan Busch, by Instagram

Editor's note: We reckon a 4-hour trip to buy great strawberries deserves a great prize Susan. Congrats! Let us know how those tarts turned out – Kel

PICKING UP the Cuisine magazine is my supermarket treat. I have a self-imposed rule – if I use my Cuisine that month then I'm allowed to buy the next issue. There is the odd month when just reading and enjoying it, has constituted 'using' it.

But mostly it gets used in earnest. As I read and re-read it, I turn the corners of the pages with the recipes that I'd like to cook. Then when I do my weekly meal planning (I like to plan out three or four meals each week and wing the rest) I have my

Cuisine beside me and I can ensure I shop for what I need so that I have it on hand to cook the lovely recipes.

I also keep about five years' back issues and will often pull out the same month's issues from years past and cook recipes out of them. So aside from the pure enjoyment of reading Cuisine,

I get a lot of practical use out of it.

I'm sure I'll get many more years enjoyment, too.

Amy Mcstay Like minds think alike! I had my stack of past Cuisine Christmas magazines waiting patiently for this year's Christmas edition to start planning. But looks like you beat me to it with your Xmas classics collection! Thanks for making my Christmas planning super-easy again and glad to see you have included that Doris plum trifle – now our family classic

How lovely to see some old favourites included again along with their original writers.

loversofluxe How exciting! That cover is soooo beautiful!!

EVERY SECOND YEAR our offspring spend Christmas with their in-laws. After enduring a few of these years on our own looking at each other across the Christmas dinner table, we started a new tradition. We would find somewhere special for just the two of us. Last year we decided New Zealand was the place. Having never visited from "across the ditch" we embarked on some research to find some great eating places. Of course we turned to our favourite magazine, Cuisine, to help us out. You didn't disappoint. We spent a memorable few days sampling your recommended places to eat, as well as visiting wineries and artisan cheesemakers found in your magazine. And then, of course, having thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the South Island, we came home ready to experiment with some Cuisine recipes.

Thank you Cuisine. Sherenne Swan, via email
