DEMM Engineering & Manufacturing
Emex – free entry for all readers
Twenty-nine of the 87 exhibitors already confirmed for the biennial EMEX engineering, manufacturing, machinery, electronics and technology industry event are new to the show.
“The anticipation from both exhibitors and visitors is palpable,” says EMEX 2014 sales manager Mike Lust. “These sectors are strong, and there’s a great deal that’s new as well. This will be one of the best EMEX events yet.
“With the theme of this year’s EMEX being ‘Where New Zealand Manufacturing Innovation Takes Off!’ suppliers will be showing the latest cutting-edge technologies for every aspect of the manufacturing process from design right through to delivery. Engineering will be a prominent feature, as will the spectacular show centrepiece of a New Zealand designed and built composite helicopter.
“It’s manufactured in Dairy Flat by the Composite Helicopter Co, which has had export orders from a number of military agencies in the northern hemisphere, and there will be a visitor draw for the chance to win a ride in the helicopter after the show.
“Winning is another theme, whether it be winning business success through the value and knowledge gained from exhibitors, new insights and learnings picked up during the impressive seminar programme, or the change to win a Ford Transit Custom SWB valued at $ 51,000, the 2degrees promotions, or the fun online game that’s running right now at www.emex.co.nz/ game.php.”
There is strong industry support for EMEX 2014, says Mike, and seminar topics that will provide a great deal of discussion. “Topics in planning include: innovation strategy, the economy and how it affects manufacturers, supply chain, retention of manufacturing in New Zealand, and market research and marketing. This really is the prime industry event, and the EPMU, IEDA and NZMEA have confirmed their commitment.”
The event is on from 27-29 May at the ASB Showgrounds, Auckland.
