Get the advantage of wrapping machines built close to home

-

When it comes to packaging machinery, Emrich can assemble their PFM Hurricane Flow wrapping machines, and build the automatic infeed systems locally, allowing the machinery to be customised to match clients’ requirements.

In packaging machinery, the automatic infeed system phases the tray of products so they are correctly positioned for wrapping. This enables the machinery to operate with accuracy and at peak efficiency, with significantly less labour required.

Based in Australia, the firm has a team of experienced technicians and engineers who are skilled in the design and fabrication of customised infeed systems as part of the PFM Hurricane Flow Wrapper.

Emrich supplies and services the Italian designed and manufactured PFM Hurricane Flow Wrapper, a relationship it is has had since 1990.

This experience, combined with Emrich’s extensive stock of spare parts and technical expertise, means it is able to build complete systems that are an exact match with the requirements of individual customers.

“Our ability to fabricate infeed systems to suit each customer’s needs is a strong point of difference in the packaging equipment market,” said Steve Richardson, the firm’s managing director.

“We’ve been in the business for almost three decades, and this gives us the knowhow and skills to build the system to exactly match the packaging objectives of our customers.”

Emrich’s engineers work closely with their customers to fully understand their processing requirements.

Drawing on these insights, they design and build an infeed system for the PFM Hurricane Flow Wrapper that delivers optimal performance.

“Examples of this are the inline feeders we have developed for trays of apples and tomatoes, or our cross-feeders for stock cubes,” said Steve.

“The products are automatically fed into trays so they are ready for their next stage of packaging.”

Apart from its Australian built f low wrappers, Emrich also has another home-grown advantage, with Steve’s two sons entering the business and quickly making their mark.

Michael and Matthew Richardson both joined Emrich in 2012, and each has brought valuable experience to the company’s operations.

“Michael has an extensive commercial background that has been very useful in his role as National Sales Manager,” said Steve. “And Matthew has a strong technical aptitude, and this has been of great benefit in his role as Packaging Engineer.”

Emrich offers a range of ready-built and custom made packaging machinery – its equipment is used extensively in the dairy, fresh produce and baking industries.
