The Wyma Vege-Polisher is smarter, safer, and more hygienic and maintenance friendly than ever before.

The design enhancements of the Vege-Polisher are a result of more than 20 years’ refinement based on customer feedback. Vegetable growers and packers from around the world gave their feedback on Wyma’s current design and left the rest to the Wyma Engineers.

The results are: smart, automated machine operation via touch screen (a first for the vegetable polishing industry); improved access for maintenance and cleaning – no tools required to access the drum and brushes. And a turnkey electrical solution, meaning no more onsite wiring required, there’s refined water application to improve water distribution and hygiene, and increased safety compliance with RFID safety switches.

The new machine also features automatic brush reversal – to extend bristle life – isolated wash zone for improved hygiene and more water and debris are contained within the wash zone.

The Vege-Polisher journey began in 1994 with a simple need to lighten the manual workload of potato farmers. Twenty years and more than 1000 polishers later, Wyma is leading the way again with their new smart automation and hygiene features.

Wyma design, manufacture, distribute, install and service post-harvest vegetable equipment in more than 35 countries. The firm has two offices, one in New Zealand and one in the Czech Republic. Territory managers are based in New Zealand, Australia, UK, Czech Republic, France and most recently China.
