Flowcrete Australia Enters New Zealand

-

Flowcrete Australia has entered into a new distribution agreement to make its full range of high-performance resin f looring solutions available across all of New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Collaborating with Altex Coatings Ltd (a member of the Resene group of companies) will geographically enhance Flowcrete Australia’s presence in the construction market throughout these regions, believes the company. This advantage is thanks to the extensive network of offices and well-established links to the building industry that the Tauranga based protective coatings specialists has developed.

Altex Coatings has identified a significant demand for f looring materials among its existing client base and this agreement means that its customers can immediately source a wide variety of specialist epoxy, polyurethane and methyl methacrylate (MMA) resin f loor and wall coating solutions.

By having access to Flowcrete’s full portfolio, Altex Coatings will be able to provide commercial and industrial developments with innovative f looring technology that is not otherwise available in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Flowcrete Australia’s Managing Director, Sean Tinsley, said: “The strategic distribution relationship that we’ve entered into with Altex Coatings Ltd. will deliver a long list of mutually beneficial advantages that will help to grow both businesses.

“Here at Flowcrete Australia we’ll be able to offer our solutions to a wider audience via a long running and well trusted brand, while adding our [Flowcrete Australia’s] systems to its product offering provides Altex Coatings with the ability to meet a pressing demand in the construction market throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.”

The resin f looring manufacturer has supplied f loors for several landmark New Zealand projects in the past through connections with applicators operating in the country. This new distribution agreement will significantly increase Flowcrete Australia’s reach and its ability to supply projects regardless of location.

Flowcrete Australia’s previous projects in New Zealand includes at the Eden Park stadium redevelopment. The watertight and UV stable deck coating system Deckshield was chosen to coat the seating area of the stadium’s new South Stand and a decorative, fast curing Flowfast f loor was installed in Eden Park’s members’ concourse area.

Large-scale commercial and industrial facilities across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands will be able to install f looring solutions that Flowcrete Australia has tailored to the demands of specific industries and environments. This includes HACCP International Certified, antimicrobial, polyurethane systems, highly decorative seamless resin terrazzo surfaces and rapidly curing, hard wearing finishes.
