New Christchurch showroom

-

Accurate Instruments (NZ) Ltd has opened a Christchurch branch at 4 Avenger Crescent, Wigram, incorporating a large showroom to display the company’s latest products for safety, inspection and levelling, an expanded service and QA centre and an onsite training and education facility.

The new development, located only a short distance from the previous premises, will see the company take what it says is a giant step forward in practice, capability, and innovation.

The hire fleet of technical levelling, inspection and safety equipment will also be expanded to meet the growing demand of specialised instruments for short to medium term use.

“Accurate was founded 23 years ago, starting from humble beginnings. After being in the Canterbury region now for nearly a decade we are extremely pleased to announce the opening of our new facility in Christchurch, enabling the company to meet the demands from industry, not only in technology and instrumentation supply, but service, support, and training,” said director Elle Archer. “Recent expansion in the business has seen us enter new emerging markets, such as smart city thinking and innovation by integrated technology. With an array of additional company practices we needed room to grow, research and support; this is part of our innovation equation.”

After the Canterbury earthquakes of 2010 and 2011, Accurate Instruments saw an increased demand for instrumentation and service, especially from the design, consultancy and engineering sectors. The company worked in conjunction with its manufacturers and suppliers to assist and provide suitable and accurate equipment and technology.

What was also identified by Accurate Instruments during this period was the industry was weak in several areas of equipment and technology use. Reliable sources of industry knowledge was being frequently sort after which led Accurate to create, as a support function, the Industry Training and Education Department.

The new specifically designed Training centre enables Accurate to provide a range of theory, product and practical training courses at the new location.

“As a company, we endeavour not only to supply our customers with first class service, products and after-sales care but we also strive to provide a high level of industry training and knowledge needed to ensure exemplary practice on-site,” said Archer.

Accurate Instruments (NZ) Ltd officially opens the new building in late spring with a grand opening on Friday, November 24th.
