MaD2018: A Collaborative Future for NZ Manufacturing and Design
MAD 2018 IS BROUGHT TO THEN Z MANUFACTURING AND DESIGN SECTOR BY THE UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CALLAGHAN INNOVATION, AND WITH SIGNIFICANT SUPPORT FROM OUR INDUSTRY AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION PARTNERS.
You are encouraged to participate at MaD2018 (a Featured Event within the Techweek’18 Programme) to learn about exciting, new manufacturing and design research; to be inspired through examples of positive collaborations between industry and researchers; and to hear from our high profile Keynote Speakers.
The MaD Network is a cross- disciplinary community of New Zealand researchers in manufacturing and design that works in close collaboration with industry to envision and shape New Zealand’s future manufacturing economy. The MaD mission is to develop expertise and capability in translational research, to grow New Zealand’s high-tech manufacturing economy. The MaD vision is for New Zealand to be recognised as a leading, technology empowered economy driven by innovative, high-value, niche manufacturing and design.
MaD2018, a national conference, will foster a collaborative future for the New Zealand manufacturing and design industry as well as for the associated research and development sectors. MaD2018 will provide a platform to enhance the competitive advantage of MaD industry partners through effective collaboration between researchers and companies.
Engaging, short TED-Talk-Type presentations from researchers, industry and government representatives will enable productive communication between delegates from different backgrounds. In addition, MaD2018 will showcase research work by way of Poster presentations, to be displayed in the exhibition and networking area; local and international Keynote Speakers will set the tone; Panel Discussions will provide topic specific engagement opportunities; and our ticketed MaD2018 Conference Dinner will be our gala event on Monday 21 May 2018. There will also be excellent informal and facilitated networking opportunities. Conference Dates:
