Glossy-coated labels made easy

Lustro-Lam is a gloss overcoat film formulated to laminate inkjet-printed labels from QuickLabel Systems.

The system features a specially formulated clear thermal transfer ribbon that mates with the surface of the label, and doesn’t require a laminator or die cutter.

It can be digitally applied via a thermal printing process, as a full bleed or spot application, which enhances the gloss of the label (not suitable for matte stocks) and provides extra resistance against abrasions, chemicals and water.

The Lustro-Lam pairs well with the Kiaro! inkjet label printer to produce water and chemical resistant labels, and has been tested to be 1000 per cent more chemically resistant to water, alcohol, essential oils, hydraulic fluid, and cleaning chemicals than unlaminated polypropylene printed labels.

When used with a specially designated QuickLabel Pronto! printing system, the Lustro-Lam solution becomes a standalone laminating station. The user simply downloads the print file to the machine and applies laminate as desired.
