How to have longer tool life

Seco’s M06 ge­om­e­try within its XOEX10T3 in­sert range brings longer tool life and lower pro­duc­tion costs to stain­less steel and ti­ta­nium al­loys ma­chin­ing ap­pli­ca­tions in­volv­ing the company’s Turbo 10 square shoul­der milling cut­ters.

Avail­able in sev­eral op­tions, the M06 comes in grades F40M, T350M, MP2500, MP1020, MM4500, MS2500 and MS2050 and cor­ner radii from 0.4 mm to 3.1 mm.

The firm con­tin­u­ously ex­pands upon its Turbo 10 se­ries to pro­vide man­u­fac­tur­ers with in­creased ma­chin­ing flex­i­bil­ity in tough ma­te­ri­als. In ad­di­tion to the new M06, the se­ries in­cludes a wide va­ri­ety of di­rect pressed and ground in­sert al­ter­na­tives.

All Turbo 10 cut­ters in­clude pre­ci­sion milled pocket seats that im­prove run-out, sta­bil­ity and tool life by pro­vid­ing op­ti­mal con­tact be­tween the tool body and in­sert. In­te­grated through-coolant chan­nels support high pro­duc­tiv­ity and pro­mote ex­cel­lent chip evac­u­a­tion. Be­cause of their high lev­els of flex­i­bil­ity, Turbo 10 cut­ters work in slot­ting, shoul­der­ing, ramp­ing, fac­ing, pock­et­ing, plung­ing and turn milling ap­pli­ca­tions.
