Muscatels in Marsala Syrup

1 cup marsala wine 1/3 cup caster sugar ½ cup water 1 cinnamon stick 300 grams muscatels

Place marsala, sugar, water and cinnamon stick in a medium saucepan and stir until sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.

Add the muscatels and cook for 5 minutes. Cool, gently turning the muscatels occasional­ly in the syrup.
