AGGRAVATED ROBBERY

Police are asking the public for informatio­n following the aggravated robbery of a Glen Innes liquor store. Five men were caught on CCTV footage entering Glen Innes Liquor Centre on Taniwha St on September 17 at around 9.15pm. Police say the men started taking alcohol and cigarettes. They were approached by a staff member who was allegedly punched in the head and possibly hit with a knuckle duster. They then fled through the Glen Innes shops to Line Rd. WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

Join AUT to celebrate World Mental Health Day on October 10, 4.30pm-7.30pm. This year focuses on psychologi­cal first aid and dignity in mental health. Speakers include Mike King, Robyn Shearer and Professor Max Abbott. The event provides an opportunit­y to network with colleagues and others interested in mental health issues. BLIND WEEK

Volunteer collectors will take to the streets on October 7 and 8 for the Blind Foundation’s annual Blind week street collection. The money raised supports the vital work in providing practical and emotional support for Kiwis with sight loss. Visit blindweek.org.nz for more informatio­n.
