A whole new world will appear on stage at the Manukau Symphony Orchestra’s next concert.

And the Eastern Courier is giving readers a chance to experience it for themselves.

Two works from the Romantic repertoire, Rachmaninov’s Variations on a Theme of Paganini and Dvorak’s Symphony From the New World, feature together with two emerging young artists.

Conductor Tianyi Lu returns from Europe to lead the orchestra.

Pianist and Flat Bush resident Delvan Lin won the 2015Wallace National Piano Competition at just 16. With his winnings, he set out for the Curtis Institute of Music’s Summer Programme in Philadelphia, achieving top competition placings. He is now a student at Auckland University.

A New World concert is on August 13, at 7.30pm at Manukau’s Vodafone Events Centre. For tickets phone 577 3031, email admin@manukausymphony.org.nz or go to ticketdirect.co.nz.
