Chanel has done exactly that, going on a transconti­nental hunt for the most potent anti-ageing ingredient­s in nature. Born from a 10 year study led by Chanel researcher­s that analysed hundreds of human genomes cross referenced with longevity data from 801 centenaria­ns worldwide, the iconic house selected three raw materials that are endemic to areas where the general population lives longer. With green coffee from Costa Rica, olives from Sardinia and lentisk from Greece, Chanel’s Blue Serum is inspired by the lifestyles that the people of these places live: in diet, exercise and emotional wellbeing.
