Many designers offer a made-to-measure gown service, but Ingrid Starnes is putting a little custom-made into your nine-to-five, too. Launched after a number of her customers began requesting their favourite Ingrid Starnes suits be remade for special occasions, the suiting service (based out of the Vulcan Lane and Ponsonby stores) allows you to browse samples and fabric swatches and have something made just the way you like it. Pricing starts at 30% above retail, and designs can be turned around in four to six weeks.
